ABOUT US
If we trust in what we love, we can do it!
Hi everyone!
Today we are going to tell you who we are and what are our plans for the future.
Behind everything we publish in our blog there is a lot of work done by us, the students of the class 3^BL and the Spanish teacher Ms. Marta Sanna. We attend “Giovanni Lanza” Languages High School of CesareBalbo Institute.
We study four foreign languages: German, English, Chinese and of course Spanish. Most of us started to learn Spanish during the first year of High School, others had already started in Middle School. In the first two years of High School we study foreign languages grammar. From the third year we study instead the different literatures to have a wider perspective of the history and cultures of the languages and territories.
At the end of the fifth year, the last one, we have to reach a high level of grammar and speaking skills. To do this, we have the presence of the native speaker Mrs. Mabel Rossi, who we practice a lot with, speaking only Spanish and talking about actual and challenging themes to beat the fear of making mistakes. This year we also have a new native speaker, Pietro Francisco José Garcia who, beyond giving us historical information, helps us to register some podcasts.
Our school also offers a lot of courses in the afternoon for each subject. For example Science and Biology, Theatre and foreign languages ones. We have different level courses, from the easiest to the hardest ones to take the official languages certification exams.
Furthermore, our school gives us the possibility to take two-week summer trips to visit the places where the foreign languages that we study are spoken. During the fourth year we also have the chance to study abroad for three, six months or a year to improve the language of the place that we choose.
We all choose this High School to reach the best level of knowledge of foreign languages. Most of us are satisfied with the path and courses, above all because we can relate every day with teachers who clarify our doubts and explain us how to face University and the world of work. In the future we’d love to work in the scope of foreign languages and travel around the world with excellent linguistic skills.
What is our project about?
Let’s talk about how our project was born and how we work together to develop our story and chapters.
Everything started with a flash fiction from which each student had to invent and tell the story before and after Alberto’s death.
After that, out teacher told us this was going to be a school project and that we had to create a blog for our readers and fans to amplify our story on the social medias. From that point on, we started to write our new texts and to publish them by videos, podcasts, newspaper etc. Following tv series examples, we also have profiles on Twitter and Instagram, young people’s socials, to grab the attention of our followers and keep them involved in the story. In this way, students from other courses can follow us too. Our characters live on the social medias.
The difficult part was and is being able to combine the development of the story putting our ideas all together, connect the character and the social medias. Furthermore, each of us has his character that has to be included in the whole story every time that something new is found out.
This Project makes us grow up and it is very important for Spanish language knowledge. It is also part of what we call in Italian PCTO (Transversal Skills and Orienteering Paths). You might ask yourself if we already know the truth and if Alberto is dead or alive. If you are looking forward to finding it out, text us on the social medias and on our blog!
